The Munich-based Ruby Group around founder and CEO Michael Struck is breaking new ground with its Lean Luxury philosophy. Founded in 2013, Ruby GmbH currently operates seven hotels with approx. 1,200 rooms, eleven further hotels with approx. 2,000 rooms are under construction. In Munich and Hamburg, Ruby also offers Ruby Works: flexible, high-quality co-working spaces in a stylish ambiance, connected to an inspiring office community. Through aobis Managed Service and the implementation of a scalable IT concept, all Ruby Hotels, and Ruby Works, as well as the central administration benefit from professional hardware and software support, the innovative VoIP solution, and a sound IT security plan.

For Michael Struck (CEO Ruby Group) the goal was always clear: Ruby should occupy the number 1 position among the top hotels in Europe. Facilities, flair, and comfort as well as state-of-the-art technology were to set standards. One of the core challenges was to develop an IT concept that is flexible, resilient, and highly scalable, which relieves the staff and contributes to the active promotion of digitalization in order to revolutionize the hotel industry. The innovative use of self-check-in is just one example of many.
As a result, aobis was involved from the very beginning and, as a partner from the very beginning, was able to develop a unique IT concept together with Ruby which, thanks to its flexibility and standardization, can be rolled out immediately to every new hotel worldwide. This scaling effect enables targeted investment and resource planning. In addition, the aobis IT team is involved in the construction management of every new project from the very beginning. This shortens lead times, reduces construction costs, and thus enables secure and stable growth.
